Using this application in conjunction with a basic homemade device enables the user to have a functional anemometer for measuring wind speed or airflow in ventilation systems. Users have the flexibility to select the type of anemometer that best aligns with their requirements.

The wind speed is ascertained by monitoring the rotation speed of the magnet in the iPhone's magnetometer. The correlation between the rotation speed and airflow velocity is preset in each anemometer version and can be customized.

Users are encouraged to enhance the proposed designs or create and calibrate their own versions.

To select measurement units (m/s, km/h, ft/s, mph, knots, Bft) or average values ("Avg1" - most recent value, "Avg3" and "Avg7" - average value), users can utilize the seven-segment display.

It is important to use a protective cover for the iPhone when using this device.

Specifications for the "Outdoor" anemometer:

• Measurement range from 0.5 m/s (1 mph) to 15 m/s (34 mph).
• Accuracy of 0.5 m/s (1 mph).
• Update time of 2-5 seconds.

IMPORTANT!!!: It is advised not to give small children magnets as they pose a risk of being swallowed. In case multiple magnets are swallowed, there is a possibility of them magnetizing to each other internally, potentially causing severe injuries necessitating hospitalization. Children who are responsible enough may be given a single magnet under supervision, with utmost care taken on its safekeeping.
